Join us for Birding the Border 4 in the borderlands of southwest Texas for a unique educational birding experience! Upon arrival, you will learn about the area and expected species while enjoying a wonderful welcome social on Thursday, May 2nd at 6:30 p.m. The Photography Track at Birding the Border features 3 beautiful sites with a combination of blinds and walking trails, resulting in a wide variety of birds and photography opportunities! Participants should know how to use the basic settings on their cameras; however, your guide will be able to help you advance your skills. Photography-focused trips will include more sitting and waiting at birding hot spots and in blinds while still incorporating the opportunity to explore and take pictures of birds throughout the landscape.

You will travel with your guide, Sarah Hoskins travel through the Edwards Plateau, South Texas Brush, and unique habitats of the Del Rio area to find target species such as golden-cheeked warbler, black-capped vireo, Morelet’s seedeater, black-tailed gnatcatcher, and all three species of kingfisher that occur in North America.
